Latest iPhone, Apple Will Join with OpenAI

A Wall Street Journal report this week said the company founded by Steve Jobs would be one of the investors that would help OpenAI cover the huge costs of building its new technology.

Apple’s entry into OpenAI, if confirmed, would come as the company prepares to announce its new iPhones on September 9, which are expected to be driven by AI innovation.

Last June, Apple announced that it would make OpenAI technology available as an option in software for its high-end iPhones, but added that it would also make AI tools created by other companies available.

The company says most of the AI features used by Apple users will use its own technology, while more complex tasks will be outsourced to OpenAI’s capabilities if customers choose to do so.
