Troye Sivan expressed a desire to collaborate again with BTS in the future. He admits that he really enjoys writing songs for other people.
“I really, really like writing for other people and that’s what I’ve wanted for a very long time,” Sivan said in an interview with AskAnythingChat, Thursday (12/5).
“If they really want to write something, for me, or for us, or whatever, I’m really looking forward to that,” Sivan replied.
If realized, it will be the second collaboration between Troye Sivan and BTS. Previously, they worked together again on Louder Than Bombs which became the B-side of BTS’s Map Of The Soul: 7 (2020) album. At that time, Troye Sivan served as one of the lyricists.
Over the past few years, the BTS members have also publicly expressed their admiration for Troye Sivan. This was shown by RM and Jungkook who had brought back Sivan’s song, Fool, in 2015.
In February 2020, Jimin also briefly mentioned in an interview with PopCrush that collaborating with Sivan was one of his dream collaborations.
Besides BTS, Troye Sivan has also collaborated with many other musicians from various parts of the world. In 2018, Sivan collaborated with pop singer Ariana Grande on the song Dance to This.
In 2020, Sivan was involved in working on the single I’m so tired on Lauv’s album titled How I’m Feeling (2020).
Now, Sivan is working on his latest collaboration project with Jay Som titled Trouble, which is intended as the soundtrack for the film Three Months directed by Jared Frieder.
Meanwhile, BTS is currently preparing an anthology album Proof which contains a compilation of 48 songs belonging to the South Korean boy band.
In addition to the new single No More Dream and three new songs, BTS also includes a number of songs from the BTS demo that have not been released before.
