“I have asked for an explanation from the ICA [Otoritas Imigrasi dan pemeriksaan Singapura]. According to them, the ICA did determine not to land [tak boleh mendarat] to UAS for not meeting the criteria for eligible (qualified) to visit Singapore,” said Suryopratomo to Indonesia CNNIndonesia.com on Tuesday (17/5).
However, he said ICA was reluctant to explain the criteria they set. Immigration Singapore is also not willing to give an explanation whether UAS is blacklisted by the country or not.
“For more details, it is better to contact the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta because the authority is entirely in the Singapore government,” said Suryopratomo.
Not to Land or may not land in general, Immigration of each country is carried out against foreign nationals whose arrival is not desired.
Previously, UAS claimed to have been deported from Singapore. This, he revealed through his Instagram account on Monday (16/5).
In his upload, UAS included photos and videos of the room before being deported.
“UAS in a 1×2 meter room is like a prison at immigration, before being deported from Singapore,” UAS wrote in the post.
In the photo he uploaded, the famous preacher was seen wearing a mask and hat. UAS is also seen in a white and iron-painted room at the top.
So far, UAS has not disclosed the exact reason for his deportation. The famous lecturer admitted that he would explain about this today, Tuesday (17/5).
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Tubagus Erif Fathurrahman, said that his party was coordinating with the Directorate General of Immigration regarding the deportation of UAS.
“Regarding the news regarding the detention and deportation of UAS by Singapore immigration, please be patient, while coordinating and tracing with Immigration Public Relations,” said Erif.
