Taylor Swift re-released a song that was part of the album 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on Friday (6/5).
This time, Swift presented the song This Love (Taylor’s Version) after giving a surprise last September by releasing Wildest Dream (Taylor’s Version).
A snippet of the song This Love (Taylor’s Version) was originally heard in the trailer for The Summer I Turned Pretty series which was released on Thursday (5/5) night.
“Thank you @jennyhan for releasing my debut version of This Love in the trailer for The Summer I Turned Pretty!!” Swift wrote in a post on her social media.
This Love originally appeared on Swift’s 1989 album, which Swift released in 2014. As reported by Variety, This Love is reportedly the first song Swift wrote for 1989.
It is the only song he has co-produced with Nathan Chapman, a collaborator on the previous four albums and also the only song he has written himself.
Despite having released two songs from the 1989 album (Taylor’s Version), Swift has not revealed or spoken about the release date of her re-recorded album.
To date, Swift has released re-recorded versions of Fearless and Red. He has yet to announce which of his four re-recorded albums will be released next.
Meanwhile, The Summer I Turned Pretty series is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 17.
The series is based on the novel of the same name by author Jenny Han (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before).
Han recently signed an exclusive development deal with Prime Video and is the showrunner for the series with Gabrielle Stanton.
The series stars Lola Tung as Isabel “Belly” Conklin, an ordinary teenage girl who spends summer vacations with her mother and older brother and gets caught up in a love triangle with her childhood friend and brother.
