Redmi 14C Released, First Budget Phone with Helio G81 Ultra Chipset
Unlike its predecessor, the Redmi 14C has a new, fresher design, a larger 6.88-inch 120Hz display, and another Helio G81 Ultra chipset.
Quoted from GSM ArenaSaturday (31/8), Redmi 14C uses a 6.88-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This panel has a peak brightness level of up to 600 nits and a 13MP selfie camera embedded in a waterdrop notch.
This is the first phone to launch with MediaTek’s new Helio G81 Ultra SoC. It has the same CPU configuration as the G80 with Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz along with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.
The phone, which is available in Midnight Black, Sage Green, Dreamy Purple, and Starry Blue, is equipped with 4/6/8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
Moving on to the back, the Redmi 14C is equipped with a 50MP main camera and an unspecified additional lens. The other two holes are for the LED flash and stickers. Xiaomi also added a slightly larger 5,160mAh battery with 18W charging and retained the side-mounted fingerprint scanner and headphone jack.
While Xiaomi has yet to reveal official pricing, the device is already available at retailers in the Czech Republic, starting at $130 for the 4/128GB model and $163 for the 8/256GB model.
