Mieke Wijaya died at the age of 82 years on Tuesday (3/5) night. This sad news was confirmed by Mieke’s son, Nia Zulkarnaen through an upload on his Instagram account on Wednesday (4/5) morning.
“He has passed away peacefully to Rahmatullah on this fitri day. Our beloved Mama/Oma/Uyut/Grandfather, Hj. Mieke Widjadja bint De Ryder at the age of 82 years on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, 19.30 WIB,” wrote Nia.
“Please open the door of apologies as much as possible if there was an oversight of the deceased during his life. Now mom is not sick anymore, my dear, my love. God loves Mama. May the late mother, beloved husnul khatimah,” he added.
The departure of senior actress Mieke Wijaya not only left deep sorrow for the family, but also a number of filmmakers and netizens.
Actor Chicco Jerikho expressed his condolences through comments on Nia’s upload.

“The funeral plan for Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Tanah Kusir TPU ba’da dzuhur. Please open the door of forgiveness as much as possible if there was an oversight of the deceased during his life,” Nia wrote in her upload on Instagram.
“Now mommy isn’t sick anymore, my dear, my love. God loves you. May your late beloved mother be Husnul Khatimah.”
Currently, Mieke Wijaya’s body is buried at the funeral home in Ampera, South Jakarta.
The woman who was born in Bandung, March 17, 1940, started her career in the entertainment industry in 1955 with the film ‘Failure’. However, film connoisseurs were captivated by her role as Nana in the film ‘Three Dara’ (1956).
Not only penetrated the silver screen, Mieke also penetrated the glass screen. His role was not far from the antagonist character.
