Kid Cudi said he would no longer be making songs with Kanye West after the two had a dispute on social media.
This was revealed by Cudi ahead of the release of Pusha T’s latest album, It’s Almost Dry, which contains a collaboration song with Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and Kanye West.
“Hey! So I know some of you have heard about the song I made with Pusha,” said Kid Cudi greeting his fans on social media, Tuesday (19/4).
“I made that song a year ago when I was still okay with Kanye. Not anymore,” he continued.
“He’s not my friend and I was only involved in that song for Pusha because he’s my friend. This is the last song you guys hear between me and Kanye,” said rapper Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi’s real name.
The dispute between Kanye West and Kid Cudi became a public discussion when Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband mentioned Cudi, who is a friend of Pete Davidson.
In February 2022, Kanye West uploaded an edited poster, aka meme, of the face-replaced Captain America Civil War poster.
Kanye West categorizes some characters as his stronghold, and others as his opponents.
By Kanye’s side, there are Drake, Julia Fox who is now in a relationship with him, Travis Scott, and Future. Meanwhile as their ‘opponents’, there are Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian, Kid Cudi, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift.
Not only that, Kanye West even said he was reluctant to invite Kid Cudi to collaborate on the Donda 2 album because of this. Kid Cudi replied that he was not interested in joining the album.
