Johnny NCT attend the event 2022 Met Gala in New York, Monday (2/5) evening local time. In his debut appearance at the prestigious fashion event, Johnny Suh was present in an all black outfit.
“I’m honored. This is a dream come true. Growing up as a teenager in America, I always saw all the stars I loved attending the Met Gala,” Johnny said as reported Vogue.
He appeared in a black satin suit designed by designer Peter Do. Beneath the coat, Johnny was not wearing a shirt, but a black vest.
Meanwhile, he wears black boots with metallic silver. The suit that Johnny wears also has silver pattern details.
“This is the perfect mix of classics with modern fashion. Everything was designed perfectly for me, so I feel comfortable and confident,” said Johnny.
Johnny arrives at The Metropolitan Museum of Art with Peter Do. Based on observations, Johnny’s arrival at the Met Gala was warmly welcomed by people who were near the location.

With his appearance at this year’s Met Gala, Johnny has extended the list of K-pop idols who have performed at the event.
Reported Teen Vogue on Monday (2/5), Super Junior’s PSY and Siwon became the first idols to attend the Met Gala. Rain then followed in their footsteps by performing at the 2015 Met Gala, followed by EXO’s Lay in 2019.
BLACKPINK’s Rose and CL made their name as the first female K-pop idols to attend the Met Gala. Both appeared at the 2021 Met Gala.
Johnny Suh wasn’t the only Korean star to attend this year’s Met Gala. Besides Johnny, Jung Ho-yeon also came with a black dress inspired by a late 1800’s painting.
The appearance of Johnny and Ho-yeon had previously been widely speculated by fans. Because, they seem to have been in New York for the last few days.
