Jack Harlow openly about his preparation when auditioning for the reboot film White Men Can’t Jump. This is his acting debut in the acting world.
Harlow admitted trying to be unselfish in order to get a role in the film.
“I did my best to get it,” said Jack Harlow in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1. The Hollywood Reporter on Friday (6/5).
“I took time to go into the script. I was focused. I was considering other things. I tried to be unselfish during the audition, taking notes, doing what I had to do. I just wanted to look good. I wanted to do everything I could to look good, ” he continued.
Thanks to that hard work, Jack Harlow eventually landed a role in the film White Men Can’t Jump. Harlow admitted there had been rumors he would star in the film.
However, that has now subsided as the players started being announced. He also admitted that his mission became clear.
“There will only be two possibilities about the announcement. First, you’re in a movie and nothing else. Or, you get the role and people say, ‘Wow, and you’re going to do it’,” said Harlow.
“I look at it like I see my music. It’s the first thing, so I really care about that,” he continued.
The Louisville rapper will star in the reboot film White Men Can’t Jump. In the film, Harlow will take on the role played by Woody Harrelson in the original film which was released in 1992.
Besides Jack Harlowthis film will also star a number of new stars, such as Sinqua Walls, Lance Reddick, Teyana Taylor, and Laura Harrier.
The latest version of White Men Can’t Jump will be directed by Calmatic. Meanwhile, the script will be written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall.
