Intel Core Ultra 200V Launched, Capable of Making PC Standby Up to 20 Hours
Quoted from GSM ArenaThursday (5/9), this processor will support more than 80 consumer AI PC designs made by more than 20 leading manufacturers in the world, including Acer, ASUS, Dell Technologies, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, and Samsung.
Systems equipped with the new processor will be available globally starting September 24 at more than 30 major retailers.
This is the first Intel processor manufactured by TSMC, using the N3B (3nm) process for compute tiles and N6 for platform tiles.
Thanks to its revised structure, Intel claims the Core Ultra 200V series laptops can offer more than 20 hours of battery life with productivity use.
“This processor shatters misconceptions about x86 efficiency,” said Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel executive vice president and general manager of the Client Computing Group.
“Only Intel has the scale through our partnerships with ISVs, OEMs and the broader technology ecosystem to deliver consumers a no-compromise AI PC experience,” he said.
This processor is designed to improve everyday tasks, such as accelerating video editing, creating AI-generated art, detecting deepfakes, protecting personal data, and improving gaming performance.
In the market, this chip will compete directly with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors that currently power Microsoft’s PC Copilot+.
