Latest trailer House of the Dragon finally clearly showing the beast on the screen. The dragon appears several times in the short video.
However, it is seen more clearly with a burst of fire towards the end of the trailer. The pride of the Targaryen clan was breathing fire, looking terrifying as usual.
“History doesn’t remember blood. History remembers names,” said a character.
New video for prequel series Game of Thrones started to show more plots for fans preparing to re-enter Westeros.
“What is this short mortal life, if not the pursuit of inheritance?” said a character.
In the latest clip, viewers can also hear a number of familiar names, such as Stark, Baratheon, Velaryon whose members made a promise to King Viserys Targaryen.
The king has also announced his daughter, Rhaenyra, as heir. However, not all residents of Westeros accepted the woman as their leader.
The series is created by creators George RR Martin with Ryan J. Condal (Colony), based on the novel Fire & Blood. Condal also serves as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Miguel Sapochnik.
George RR Martin is also executive producing alongside Sara Hess, Jocelyn Diaz, Ron Schmidt, Clare Kilner, Geeta V. Patel, and Greg Yaitanes.
As reported by Variety on Thursday (5/5), House of the Dragon costs around US $ 20 million per episode and will have 10 episodes for the first season.
That’s a higher budget than Game of Thrones, which produced around $100 million for a season, or about $6 million per episode. However, the budget increased to US $ 15 million per episode in the eighth and final season.
Just like the original series, House of the Dragon features a large cast, such as Paddy Considine as King Viserys I, and Emmy D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenrya, Viserys’ first child and clear heir.
Matt Smith also appears as Prince Daemon, Viserys’ sister, Rhys Ifans as Ser Otto Hightower, Olivia Cooke as Lady Alicent Hightower, Otto’s daughter and Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole, a knight.
House of the Dragon will also star Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Ryan Corr, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Graham McTavish, Matthew Needham, Bill Paterson and Gavin Spokes.
House of the Dragon premieres August 21 on HBO.
