Jessica Iskandar plans to give birth to her second child in Jakarta instead of Bali, where she currently lives. The decision to give birth in the capital city because of having suffered from HELLP Syndrome when she was pregnant with her first child, El Barack Alexander.
“Why in Jakarta, because I have a history of HELLP Syndrome when I was pregnant with El Barack,” said Jessica Iskandar at the Trans TV Studio, South Jakarta, some time ago, quoted from detikHOT.
“Yesterday, I wanted to check in more detail, so I came to Jakarta. And, it turned out that everything went smoothly,” added the artist who is familiarly called Jedar.
To note, HELLP Syndrome is a disorder in red blood cells, liver function, and low platelets. This syndrome usually affects pregnant women over 34 years old or who have a history of preeclampsia.
In addition, HELLP Syndrome also occurs when the age of the fetus has entered the third trimester.
According to explanation Jessica Iskandarshe suffered from the syndrome because her emotional state was unstable when she was pregnant with El Barack.
“So, in fact, Hellp Syndrome was caused by his mother’s emotions, now he might be happy, so God gave him a smooth ride, everything went smoothly,” said Jedar.
The 34-year-old artist is expected to give birth in a week or two. It is known that Jedar and her husband’s child, Vincent Verhaag, is a boy.
Jedar also expressed his desire to give birth normally again to his second child.
“The doctor said that in a week or two, I’m ready to be born. So I want a normal birth, so I’m waiting for contractions,” he said.
“Because El was also normal, I want to be normal too,” he continued.
Jessica Iskandar married Vincent Verhaag on October 22, 2021. The blessing ceremony took place in Bali at 15.00 WITA.
Marriage with Vincent is the second time for Jessica Iskandar. She was briefly married to Ludwig in December 2013. The marriage was then filed for annulment in October 2014 and was only legalized in April 2015.
