BI ex iKON announced that they would make a comeback through the album titled Love or Loved [L.O.L]. Ahead of the release of the new album, BI released a teaser video which was uploaded to the YouTube page on Wednesday (20/4) yesterday.
In this 26-second video, BI announced that he would be making a comeback with a pre-release single, followed by two mini-albums to be released separately.
However, BI has not disclosed detailed information regarding the new project.
The idol, whose real name is Kim Han-bin, started his career as a member of the boy band iKON, which debuted in 2015 under YG Entertainment. He debuted with six other iKON members, namely Bobby, Jinhwan, Yun-hyeong, DK, Junhoe, and Chanwoo.
BI is a member who is involved in every production and songwriting released by iKON. One of them, the song Love Scenario, which made the name iKON even more famous.
In mid-2019, BI decided to leave iKON due to being dragged into a drug case. He then founded his own music label called 131LABEL. He also served as executive director of IOK in 2020.
Through this label, BI made his debut as a solo artist by releasing a single album titled Midnight Blue (Love Streaming). He even donated the profits from the album’s sales to charity.
Shortly after, BI launched its debut full album titled Waterfall in June 2021. The album consists of 12 tracks, with Waterfall as the main single.
A few months later, BI released the first part of his second studio album titled Cosmos on November 11, 2021. The first part of this second album contains 7 songs including Cosmos which is the main single.
Most recently, BI merged with the United States-based agency Wasserman. This was confirmed by IOK as the agency that oversees BI
“BI recently signed a contract with Wasserman, a large American agency,” the agency said in a statement, quoted from Osen, Thursday (17/2).
“This is an agency that handles many global artists, such as Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Ed Sheeran, Skrillex, and others,” continued the agency.
